Fox
The list starts with foxes since they’ve been hunting ducks from the very beginning. Not only ducks but chickens, pigeons, and many other birds are their favorite food.
Unlike most predators, foxes hunt during the daytime. What’s worse is that they’re super quick and pretty silent during the hunt.
According to research, foxes aren’t opportunistic hunters when it comes down to ducks or chickens. They specifically search for the bird’s nest and take away whatever they get, even if it’s just an egg.
Foxes are very patient and they are good at hiding too. They can hide in bushes around the water bodies or behind trees. And once the target comes near the fox, they ambush and catch them.
Alligators and Crocodiles
These are excellent ambush predators, not only ducks, but they also feed on most birds and animals. They remain submerged in the water, keeping their eyes and nostrils above the water, waiting for the prey to come near.

Hawks

Raccoons

Skunks
Like raccoons, they don’t also actively search for duck or bird nests. Skunks are also opportunistic duck predators. If they encounter ducklings or duck nests, they will feed on them.
Skunks are nocturnal animals; therefore, they mostly go out for food at night. What makes them very dangerous is their strong sense of smell. They can locate the food sources by just smelling, which includes locating the duck nests too.

Snakes
There are some snake species that usually prey on ducklings and young waterfowl. Large constrictor snakes like the Burmese Python and Anaconda like feeding on waterfowl, including ducks.
Burmese Python is native to South Asia and is found in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, etc. On the other hand, Anacondas are native to South America, often found in Brazil, Venezuela, Bolivia, Ecuador, etc.
